How to Turn on Flashlight using Quick Settings on Android
One of the great things about Android is its built-in flashlight feature. Whether you’re hiking in the woods or just trying to find your keys in a dark room, the flashlight can be a lifesaver. And best of all, it’s super easy to turn on and off using the Quick Settings menu.
This should work for all newer phones having Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher.
To turn on the flashlight, simply swipe down from the top of your screen to access the Quick Settings menu. Then, tap on the icon for the flashlight (it looks like a light bulb). The flashlight will turn on instantly, giving you a much-needed boost of light.
How do I turn the light off?
If you need to turn off the flashlight, just tap on the icon again. That’s all there is to it! With just a few taps, you can have light whenever and wherever you need it. So next time you’re in a dark situation, don’t forget to reach for your Android phone and turn on that flashlight.
Where is my flashlight on this phone?
Here are the steps:
Swipe down the notification bar with your finger from top to bottom.
Swipe it once more to see a list of quick settings.
To access the complete list, look for and tap on the Edit icon.
Tap on the flashlight icon to enable it under the Quick Settings
Click on Done.
#2. Shake to Turn On Flashlight Android
To use your phone as a flashlight, install the Shake Flashlight app. Simply shake your phone to turn on the Flashlight. You may turn on the Flashlight even if your Android device’s screen is off by shaking it once more.
#3. Turn on Flashlight with Power/Volume buttons
There are a couple of different ways that you can turn on your flashlight on an Android device. You need flashlight apps from the Google play store for this to work.
By holding both volume buttons/keys together, you may instantly turn on/off the bright flashlight / LED/torch on your phone. It’s quick, fast, and innovative. When used during screen on, lock screen, or screen off (when enabled from settings), it works equally well.
The second way is by using Power Button FlashLight /Torch app. To start the flash/camera LED light, press the power button on your phone within three seconds.
#4. Tap back of the phone to turn the flashlight on
Turn on the flashlight by simply tapping the smartphone. This is possible by using a Flashlight app called Tap,Tap. This app is not available in Google Playstore and can only be downloaded from a XDA forum thread.
(Not going through the installation process here)
