(probably all the devices)
How can I fix a P-DEV318 Error on Hulu?
Here are the steps that you can follow to fix Hulu error code:
Fix #1. Increase your Internet Connection Bandwidth
If your Internet connection is suddenly slowing down or if it is considerably slower than advertised, there’s a good chance that something is restricting your bandwidth. Internet bandwidth should be as recommended by Hulu.
There are usually 3 main items that сan have a negative impact on it:
Your current Wi-Fi router bandwidth
Internet Service Provider
Device
Steps to Improve your Router Bandwidth
#1. Change your Router Location
If you have recently placed your router in a new location, it might be the reason for the hiccup. If your router is too far away from where you are using Hulu, then that could potentially impact the signal strength and quality.
We would recommend finding a central location for your router so that all of your devices can receive an optimal signal.
You should also avoid placing your router near metal objects or electronic devices as they can interfere with the signal.
Once you have found a suitable location for your router, restart it and see if that fixes the problem.
#2. Reboot Router
After changing the location of your router, the next step is to reboot it. This will help to clear any minor software glitches that could be causing the Hulu error code pdev318.
To do this, simply unplug your router from the power socket and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Once your router has restarted, try streaming content on Hulu again.
If you are still facing the issue, then move on to the next step.
#3. Update Router Firmware
To update the Router firmware follow the below steps:
Connect the computer to the router using an Ethernet cable.
Go to the router manufacturer’s website to download the firmware update.
Tap on download firmware to update your router.
To finish the upgrade, reboot your router.
#4. Configure QoS
Certain routers like Netgear have the feature to prioritize one application over the other. For example, you can tell your router to prioritize Hulu over Skpe calls.
Once you login to your router Settings page, open the Wireless tab to update the wireless settings. Depending on the model, locate “Setup QoS rule” under Advanced Settings or Wireless Settings.
Each rule here will allow you to assign Priority to each application.
(Considering you are done this point)
You are all set to click on Apply rule.
#5 Invest in High-end Router
If the above steps still did not resolve your issue, then it is high time to consider a high end dual band router.
#6 Use a VPN
Having a good VPN service, for example, can provide you with numerous advantages, including the ability to boost your bandwidth by avoiding your ISP from limiting it. A VPN also secures your online activity and keeps it private from ISPs or any other third parties, as well as nullifies major types of internet restrictions.
Internet Service Provider
If you are still using an outdated modem, then it might be time for an upgrade.
We would recommend that you get in touch with your internet service provider and ask them about upgrading to a Data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS) or higher modem.
These modems are considerably faster and will provide you with better speeds overall. If this is not an option consider upgrading your plan.
Updating Device firmware
Updating your device firmware is an important process that helps keep your device running smoothly. It can also help fix minor issues and improve your device’s security.
The best way to update your device firmware is to do it directly from the manufacturer’s website. However, you will need to know your device’s specific model number and serial number.
If you are not sure how to find this information, you can usually find it on the back or bottom of your device. Once you have this information, simply go to the manufacturer’s website and enter it into the search field.
From there, you should be able to find the latest firmware update for your device. Once you have downloaded the update, follow the instructions on how to install it.
Fix #2. Reboot or Restart the Devices
Reboot Xbox One
